Sem break

finally its sem break!! phew~ it was the most hectic semester i've gone through so far. tons of works to be handled with. no wonder people say degree is so much tougher even though some subjects have no exams. the assignments are really a turn off.

in between the weeks, Vanity also took part in Clash of the Kingz sponsored by Magnum at Boulevard. of course, i went to support. Candy also came Kuching 2 days purposely to support the babes as well.

finally reunite after so long. a group picture of all 7 of us :)

though Vanity didnt make it this time, but of course, we've once again moved one step forward. its always valuable. we'll always keep on moving. so stay tuned for something new :D

man look at their outfits for the second routine. studs, camo, wild cropped top. me is jelly!

Go Vanity fb page for their videos!

btw we've joined Dennis Yin's LA Hiphop workshop few days after the comp. i think he's one inspiring dancer.

im not really familiar with LA style. well at first everything was smooth. but i cant really catch up awhile later. Dennis said the instructors in the states taught them eight 8 counts straight when he went there for workshops. madness. so he wants us to improve memorizing steps better and taught us four 8 counts continuously. then only he played the music. something new :)

the only picture with Dennis

and then the next day after workshop, JiaXian who came back Kuching went studio to teach us a short routine. not gonna post the video up. but i have to say i really really really LOVE the choreography! (notice its triple 'really') me love her style!

its not what you see in Vanity usual routines. it contains a lots of isolation, its slow and smooth, but at the same time a lot of energy is needed to make sure that the moves are sharp and clean. i feel that theres a blend of little contemp in it. personal thoughts anyway haha. and thats the main reason why i love it :)

besides, i feel like taking up pole dance class to improve my flexibility and also to tone up the body. imagine sem break until September.

pole dancing is a really healthy sports and workout for both men and women. i just dont get why are there people who doesnt appreciate it and keep on coming out with rude words. they should get a life.

watch this beautiful piece of artwork. c'mon men do pole dance too!

and also my inspiration - DirdyBirdy. she's one amazing pole dancer teaching in Australia. you can just google this name. she's on fb, youtube, instagram, twitter and also her own website.

but well, seems like Broadway Poleworks at Jalan Song is no longer there. so erm, i've no idea what now. disappointed. let me know if you know if they have moved to somewhere else or if there are other studios which are offering pole dance and are good at it :)

so yeap. my holidays are defined by dance, part time jobs, catching up with friends and something new, my boutique! well guess what, i still havent exactly come out with the name yet. yeah right so undecided. i actually has a list of names just that im not really satisfied with any one of them.

first batch of clothes and accessories will be arriving at my place around this few days. excited! i only took one piece for each designs this time. *hinting* just to figure out how it goes first. and yeap it will be a fb page. priority will be for those who reserve by commenting at the photo first ;)

so thats all for now. an old pic of my sis, me and mummy before i end this.
sorry but i have to say i think im a cute baby back then :DD

stay tuned.
xx :)

Besides my dance life, i have also been really busy with studies. tons of works this sem. you couldnt even imagine. Had just organized a Dota 2 Mini Tournament 2 days before. it was our assignment. was assigned to hold an event.
With our main sponsor, Gizmo Arena. Glad that the event turned out really successful. finally feel released abit. Btw there is still a girl group-mate whose absent.

While studying hard, i also work hard. you know. its never enough for me to shop. so ive always been doing part time jobs to make life easier haha. also, to know more awesome people out there.

and thats me working with Samsung and Melster previously.

while working and studying hard, i also party hard. especially when my babe who've just got back from her air-stewardess training in KL. well even its just the weekends. went Junk 2 days in a row last week.

Last but not least, im going to launch an ONLINE BOUTIQUE hopefully in May! it'll be a facebook page. and yes im so excited! since Sparklelicious (if you still remember haha). so yeap! stay tuned! im currently still thinking of the name. realized its a really tough decision.

Lastly, I've simply no idea but i just have to say this. I love my life. Im living it as lively as i can. the great people around me. i just have to cherish every single one of them. till then.

have a great week! xoxo.

The Bloom Bazaar 6 & CNY Bazaar

Yes! Kuching do have fashion bazaars as well!

I knew about The Bloom Bazaar(TBB) for quite a while already but since then i have nothing to sell. When i came across the announcement of TBB 6, i made up my mind so quickly to take part cause its almost new year and I have a lot of preloved to let go. whats more when i just came back from shopping trip. so many new stuffs to squeeze into the overloaded wardrobe!

TBB 6 was held on the 24th of Jan, which was just the second day after we were back from our KL trip. Prepared the whole day on 23rd. Sis helped to buy the clothes racks and mum prepared the hangers for me. I was selling both me and my sis' preloved that day.

The venue was at the main hall of Koperasi Hijau Building at Stutong. Its a night market edition. At first i thought sales would be not satisfying since a lot of people even myself is not familiar with the location. but everything turned out really great! sales were out of my expectation!

our oh-my-god-so-packed booth. haha! shared the booth with my friend, Fiona. left are all her stuffs. right are mine, my sis and darren's friend's stuffs.

All the stuffs are definitely great bargain cause nothing is over RM30! My sis even sold a very nice lacey bodycon dress of her at bloody RM20 only! i should eat more and grow cause it doesnt fit me at all! what a waste!

taoke and taokenio of the day. Again, thanks for accompanying me the whole day. So touched. Picture was taken by Teresa when she visited us <3

so everyone just had fun selling and chit chat the whole day. we even wished that 9pm comes slowly cause sales were so good and it was so much fun!

after TBB, i was told by Teresa that there was still another bazaar coming up at ST3 which was just during the weekends. so me, Teresa herself, Fiona and Elaine another friend of mine get excited and decided to give it a try as well!

so there we go! CNY Bazaar happening 2 days at ST3! 26th and 27th of Jan. i shared booth with Teresa whereas Fiona had hers with Elaine.

Sales at CNY Bazaar was not as pleasant as it was at TBB. probably not much advertising was made by the organizer. and the consumers over there seem to be shy to even come close the booths. hence for the second day, we carried out a clothes buffet!

The zip lock bag was selling at RM45 and buyers can fit in as much stuffs as they are able to!

our very easy going customers that successfully beat us and stuffed in 9 items into the zip lock bag! great job girls!

so overall, weekends well spent trying out something new. for sure i'll take part in the next Bloom Bazaar again. but CNY bazaar was not bad too.

parents and boyfriend even encourage me to start up an online business as well. and i did consider about it for a long time already. if you read my blog you should have known it. i did mentioned in a 2011 post or something. but maybe not something big. just selling though my personal accounts in social networks? will see how and keep you guys updated again ;)

xoxo.

Gatsby 5th Dance Competition Malaysia Final

Remember the audition post? Yeap Vanity Crew is the winner for the Sarawak on-ground audition. and we went to KL once again to compete in a nation-wide dance competition finals. This time round we were competing with 5 groups of online winners and also winners from Johor, Penang, KK, Malacca, KL.

We took 2 to 3 weeks practicing both the semi-final and finals routines. and we practiced every single nights. and for the last 1 or 2 days, we actually practiced twice a day. i actually skipped all my classes for it. only attended once since this sem started x.x but well, this is all worthwhile :)

VIP passes were couriered to my place few days before we depart. Gave them all to Vanity's friends and also family. we have very few supporters since we are from East Malaysia. but those few who supported us are simply the best! they shouted and cheers for us so wholeheartedly and it touches! thanks ;)

We were sponsored to stay in Pyramid Tower. Yay! but sadly this is how the view from our hotel room looks like. Nay~

We reached KL on the 18th. and the finals was 19th of Jan. venue is Sunway Pyramid Ice Skating Rink. i know right we just have to experience all types of dance floors. from round stage to square stage, to wrestling ring now to slippery stage. whats next?

The competition starts at 2:30pm. all the finalists were requested for a rehearsal in the morning that day. we have to reach at 9am and we actually set 2 or 3 alarms to make sure they wake us up! haha

from here you can tell the floor is so wet and slippery. i slipped a little while just running through the formation. this seriously made me go more stress! it worries me hell lot!

3 of us taking part. hehe

with Ameer from Kuching as well. who made in through the online video contest :)

and Ariel the nanny who purposely tag along to support. and also to shop la! haha. next time make sure you join with us ;)

so we went back around 11. and prepare as fast as we can cause we have to be there at 12:30pm. yeah only one hour for us to put on makeup, set our hair, change our costumes and make sure there are nothing important left behind!

Judges for the finals are Fishboy from Japan, Fellest (the guy on the right) and also Boojae who is not in this pic. Fishboy is so funny he keeps on saying us 'kawaii'! haha. he said it during the interview before comp starts as well as while giving comments after our performance. apparently kawaii is the only word we dont need the translator :D

my very wild look for the semi-final's routine. haha. yeah i also prefer lighter makeup.

all the finalists gathering at the backstage. waiting for turns :) and brown hair with red dip-dye is so common over there. saw like 4 or 5 people with it during the event itself.

look at the crowd! this is even before the event starts. its Sunway Pyramid man!

our turn! did a little bit of introduction.

Ops and some of the pictures here are credited to Gatsby, Keryn and other online resources. Thank you.

this is the front part. whacking!

after performance. staying on the stage to listen judges' comments. look at my face! so funny. i should be catching my breath haha.

by the way i really love this outfit! its so trendy! leather corset and stripes high waist pants with a denim jacket. Ariel even manage to find an exactly same pattern pants in Kitschen! lol

you can watch the video here!

this is a really tiring routine. i think probably the most tiring one ever. haha. but i learnt to feel and enjoy it. and it works magically! i really manage to do it so much better. even though its still not good enough. again, stamina is what i need to keep on improving.

and then we made it into top 5. drew and luckily was the second last group to perform. so that we can have enough time to change into the vampire costume and put on heavier makeups and blood stains all over. phew~

the acting part. haha. i keep on laughing at myself while watching back the video. Cherry acted so well. like some kind of pervert who found her prey. haha!

Videos are credited to LiveVid&Photoz from youtube.

while summarizing the results, there are performances by the judges , former winner and also guest dancers. they are all AMAZING!!!

results announcing. you can watch it here too.

so we ended with the 3rd Place :)

with all the 3 judges. there you can see Boojae is the one in black.

Im actually pleased of getting 3rd place since the finalists are all really good. Learnt great stuffs throughout the trip. Once again, its another valuable experience for us and is definitely worthwhile.

instantly become fan girls haha

not forgetting this guy who accompanied me all along. thank you so so much. it was supposed to be our cny shopping trip but so coincidentally the finals falls on the exact same date. thanks for being there with me all the time. i feel great with your company :)

with our manager Kixx!

with Jasylin, Keryn and Fion :)

another one with Jia Xian

The top 3 of Gatsby 5th Dance Competition Malaysia. Pitt Den the champion, who is going to compete with all the international champions in Japan coming March, Funk P 2nd place and Vanity Crew 3rd place.

Last but not least, a group photo!

after the comp, we had interviews from different medias before heading back to hotel. and Gatsby sponsored all the finalists a dinner at Thai Thai that night.

so the next day, we basically just enjoyed ourselves to the max. went chilling at the pool with the gangs before Darren and I headed down to the town.

nothing much to say for the last 2 days in Bukit Bintang. we just shop from day to night. and had some drinks and chillax session before the day ends.

love it when the bf give me a candid shoot

thats all about my trip. i shall cap here. next post will be about the bazaars i took part last week. stay tuned!

lastly, picture of the day!

goodnight everyone. xoxo.
